This Site collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

 

1.1 When You Browse The Site (”Device Information”)

When you visit the Site, we will store: the website from which you visited us from, the parts of our site you visit, the date and duration of your visit, your anonymised IP address, information from the device (device type, operating system, screen resolution, language, country you are located in, and web browser type) you used during your visit, and more. We process this usage data only for statistical purposes, to improve our site and to recognize and stop any misuse. We use Matomo, the open source web analytics tool, to collect this data.

Device Information is saved to the Site’s database and all visitor data is removed after 180 days.

1.2 When You Sign Up To Our Mailing List (”Email Newsletter”)

If you choose to join our Email Newsletter, the email address and name you submit to us will be forwarded to a third party data processor MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services. The information you submit will not be stored within the Site’s own database.

Your information will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this at any moment by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you or by requesting removal via email.

While your email address and name remains within the MailChimp database, you will receive periodic (approximately one per week) newsletter emails from us.

If you are under 16 years of age you MUST obtain parental consent before joining our email newsletter.

 

1.3 When You Use Contact Forms

If you choose to contact us using any of the contact forms found on the Site, we collect your name, email address and message. We use this data solely in connection with answering the queries we receive. The content of the email is secured over HTTPS (SSL) connection (Certificate: Let’s Encrypt). The emails are delivered to a secure encrypted email server in Germany hosted by a third party data processor Tutanota. Emails are not stored in the Site’s database.

Please note that not all mail servers are secure. You should always consider email as an insecure medium and not include personal, confidential or otherwise sensitive information within an email.

 

1.4 When You Submit A Comment

If you choose to add a comment to any posts or products found on our Site, the name, website and email address you enter with your comment will be saved to the Site’s database, along with the time and date you submitted the comment. This information is only used to identify you as a contributor to the comment section of the respective post or product. Your email address is visible only to Site administrators, but not to public users. The purpose of collecting your email is only for you to receive a notification when someone replies to your comment. Your comment information will remain in the Site’s database until you request us to delete it.

 

2.0 COOKIES

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. We use minimal amount of cookies on the Site.

6. DATA BREACHES

If the Site is breached, we will contact users in 72 hours. But please note, no real important personal data is stored on this Site.

 

7.0 OUR THIRD PARTY DATA PROCESSORS

We use third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties have been carefully chosen to comply with General Data Protection Regulation (”GDPR”).

 

8.0 ABOUT THE SITE’S SERVER

The Site is hosted by A2 Hosting within a data centre located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Some of the data centre’s security features are:

  • SSAE16 certified
  • Gated parking lot with security key entry
  • Security key needed to enter data center
  • Security key needed to access fully enclosed locked server rack
  • Video surveillance

9.0 YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
